String sounds and rhythms - the CelloFellos immerse themselves in the worlds of jazz, tango, folk and other international dance influences.
The two cellists Leonard Disselhorst and Bryan Cheng are united by their desire to transcend the boundaries of traditional classical literature; after decades of concert experience and national and international tours as solo and chamber musicians, they decided in 2020 to subsequently also work together as a duo. As the CelloFellos, they immerse themselves in the worlds of jazz, tango, folk and other genres. All pieces are arrangements by their own hand, and with their program "Global Grooves", they span a range from traditional Romanian folk dances to ragtime and swing, going all the way to newly-composed comtemporary pop.
The CelloFellos perform at renowned festivals such as the Heidelberg Spring, Beethovenfest Bonn, and Lavaux Classic (Switzerland) and in concert halls such as the Tonali Hall in Hamburg or the chamber music hall of the Berlin Philharmonic.
